ABOUT GONALSTON FARM SHOP
After a centuries old family tradition of meat production, Ross and Georgina Mason opened the doors of Gonalston Farm Shop to provide the freshest and highest quality produce to the local community. Over a decade on, Gonalston Farm Shop prides itself on offering only the very freshest of produce with an emphasis on exquisite taste.
Having started with a enviable butchery counter, a mouthwatering selection of bread and cakes, and an offer of fruit and vegetables from both the locality and farther afield, we have moved over the years to satisfy our customer requirements. A visit to our most superb fish counter alongside our award winning deli is a true delight. We look forward to welcoming you to our ‘one stop shop’ for discerning food lovers.

Charity Dog Walk
On Sunday 19th April we had a great gathering of dogs of all shapes and sizes and their owners walking around Gonalston Estate raising money for the NSPCC.
Last Sunday morning started a little dull but it soon cheered up as the waggy tails started to gather. Georgina and her Jack Russell, Ida, led the supporters and their furry companions around the picturesque Gonalston Estate (by kind permission of the Francklin family) and it was a pure pleasure to see.
The ramblers were welcomed home by a steaming hot coffee from Stewarts, and a mouth-watering breakfast roll from the Gonalston Farm Shop team.
Photographer extraordinaire and GFS team member, Harry, joined us capturing lots of snaps. He then offered the chance to ‘pose with your pooch’. Some images are now available to peruse at http://www.harryhallphotography.co.uk/charity/, more will be added very soon. Contact Harry direct if you see any you like and would like to order.
The doggie raffle was a great success and great thanks to Dappa Dogs, Millside Country Store and Forrest Feeds for their generous prizes.
Thank you also to all our suppliers that offered support – Stewart’s of Trent Bridge, Atherleys Bakery, Creme D’Or and Hider Foods.
Finally a massive thank you to all our two and four legged friends you raised a brilliant £450 for the NSPCC.
If you missed the walk this time, keep your eyes peeled – we will certainly be repeating this hugely successful fundraiser in the not too distant future.
